Our Team
Eugenia Angioni
Retreat Clinical Lead
As a clinical psychotherapist, Eugenia has worked in diverse contexts with a wide range of clients for over eight years. Her professional experience includes working within prison systems, as well as supporting victims of violence , both children and adults.
She is particularly drawn to what becomes possible when we turn our gaze inward with love, courage, and curiosity and continues to explore how our bodies can hold wisdom, memory, and strength.
Recently certified in psychedelic-assisted psychotherapies, Eugenia holds a deep respect for the transformative potential of these medicines when used with intention, preparation, and integration. She believes that psychedelics, within a safe and ethically held container, can open access to parts of the psyche that traditional talk therapy alone may take years to reach. They can soften rigid narratives, reconnect individuals to meaning, and illuminate the inner compass that guides us toward our “why.”
During our retreats, Eugenia offers dedicated one-to-one sessions both prior to and on site.
Grzegorz Sykala
Ceremonial Lead & Retreat Co-Lead
Grzegorz is a ceremony lead, musician and facilitator with a background in Intercultural Communication (MA) and training in shamanic arts and holistic facilitation. Walking the ceremonial path for the past eight years, he has been deeply shaped by his experiences in Peru, which became a profound initiation into ceremonial work. Since then, he has been sharing sacred songs and his experience during ceremonies and retreats in the Netherlands. He has collaborated with internationally recognized healers and, in 2023, joined the Beckley Retreats team. He creates an open and welcoming space where participants can feel safe and free to experience whatever they need in the moment. His events are marked by lightness, sense of humor and depth.
His role in the retreat includes leading ceremonies, co-facilitating the retreat, and supporting participants throughout their journey, bridging the familiar world of everyday life with the deeper wisdom of ceremonial traditions.
Marija Gjeorgieva
Facilitator & Integration Specialist
Marija is a psychologist, Integral Yoga teacher, and Gestalt therapist in training working with somatic movement practices. Her work, informed by eight years of experience in ceremonial and retreat settings, integrates yogic wisdom, embodied awareness, and psychological insight. Drawing on the intelligence of the natural elements — earth, water, fire, air, and space — she explores the body as a living field of awareness and transformation.
Through breath, movement, and presence, she invites a deeper connection with the body, the self, and the rhythms of nature. She also supports the integration of psychedelic experiences, helping translate insights into embodied understanding and everyday life.
Her role in the retreat includes facilitation, leading yoga and meditation sessions, guiding somatic movement practices, offering on-site integration, and providing musical support during ceremonies.
Michael Cannon PhD
Michael is a philosopher, athlete, and facilitator. He completed a PhD in philosophy of artificial intelligence in 2024 and has academic publications at the intersection of philosophy of AI and cognitive science. His work exploring the nature of minds and consciousness, the differences between animals and machines, and the broader role of this inquiry in culture shapes how he approaches therapeutic work with psychedelics. His background as a competitive athlete provide for him a balance, returning him to his body and heart. From here, he works to offer courage to those with whom he works.
During the retreats, Michael co-leads retreats with Grzegorz. As a trained breathwork instructor, he guides participants through breathwork sessions to complement the psychedelic work of the retreat. Finally, to support the integration process, as part of Michael calls upon myth-telling, offering myths of European descent as archetypal guides for the journeys of transformation which participants choose to undergo.
