Frequently Asked Questions

Ground Health offers small, legally held psilocybin retreats in the Netherlands, grounded in careful screening, preparation, and integration.

Our approach is intentionally conservative, ethically defined, and designed to support meaningful inner work within clear boundaries.

Screening & Suitability

  • Yes. Everyone begins with a confidential screening call. This allows us to explore suitability, answer questions, and decide together whether a retreat is appropriate.

  • The call is a conversatio, not a medical or psychological assessment. It’s a chance to discuss readiness, expectations, and any initial considerations.

  • To ensure that we can provide the safety and care necessary, participation is always subject to screening. We do not accept applications or payments before this step.

  • If participation doesn’t feel appropriate, we’ll explain why with care and clarity. This decision is not a judgement and does not imply failure or exclusion. A retreat at a later date may be more appropriate.

Safety & Legality

  • Yes. All Ground Health retreats take place in the Netherlands, where psilocybin truffles and retreats are legal. We operate within clearly defined legal and ethical boundaries.

  • No. Ground Health does not provide therapy, medical treatment, or diagnosis. Our retreats are reflective experiences supported by preparation and integration.

  • Mental health challenges are a common reason people come on psychedelic retreats. Our team clinical psychologist is onboard during screening calls and will explore with you whether the retreat is a good fit. Some histories mean participation is not appropriate, or should be deferred. These decisions are made conservatively and with care.

  • Medication use is discussed during screening and intake. Some medications are not compatible with participation or would need to be paused with your doctor’s approval prior to the retreat. This will be explored carefully and confidentially.

The Retreat Experience

  • On two separate days you will go through a psilocybin ceremony, with a day after each to integrate. On ceremony days we will do breathwork and body work before the ceremony, and on integration days, along side intentional activities dedicated to the integration process, you will have time to rest, journal, sauna, and explore the grounds.

  • Group size is kept intentionally small to support safety, continuity, and individual attention. We keep our groups within 8-12 participants.

  • Yes. Our retreats are facilitated by a team with a rare blend of both clinical and ceremonial skills and experience. Our work is to support your work. Alongside our guidance, you will also be mutually supported by the other participants on the retreat, all of whom are there with the same commitment to the process.

  • No. Some participants are first-timers, others have prior experience. Suitability is determined through our screening process and is independent of prior experience with psychedelics. Your prior experience helps us understand the specific kind of care to offer you.

Practicalities

  • Retreats take place in carefully chosen retreat locations in the Netherlands where this work is legal. Exact details are shared with accepted participants.

  • Guidance on what to bring, how to prepare, and practical considerations is provided during preparation.

  • Partners, friends, or relations are welcome to attend retreats together, however, each participant is screened individually. After individual suitability is determined, we will have a conversation to establish what kind of boundaries will be most conducive to a meaningful retreat for each person involved.

  • Cancellation and refund terms are explained clearly after acceptance and are outlined in our terms. Questions can be discussed during screening.

Process, payment & next steps

  • The starting cost of our premium 5 Day retreats is 4500eur, including TVA.

  • A deposit is taken only after screening and invitation. The remaining balance is due in the weeks prior to the retreat.

  • Integration is a vital part of our retreat process. Participants are supported with multiple group calls and material for integrating their experience into their lives.

  • The next step is a discovery or screening call. There’s no obligation to proceed beyond that conversation.

Still have questions?

If you’re unsure whether a retreat is right for you, the best place to start is a confidential screening call. This allows space for conversation rather than assumptions.
